SEO - Long Term Results Picture

Keep Up SEO Efforts so Your Hard Work Doesn’t Go to Waste.

Since Google considers performance over time an indicator of your website’s quality, inconsistent SEO efforts can hinder your long-term results.

What’s more, the internet itself is an ever-evolving, always-competing, market-driven medium that must regularly reinvent itself. In order to have a successful search engine optimization strategy, your organization must plan to adapt its methods with changing technologies.

Here are some tips for keeping your SEO efforts consistent:
  • Integrate SEO and content marketing into your overall communications and marketing strategies. These areas overlap significantly and can mutually benefit one another.
  • Regularly Google your own organization, as well as topics that relate to your organization or mission, and document what you find. Do the result listings change from month to month? What other websites might be showing up more prominently than before?
  • Closely monitor and maintain your Google Analytics! If you see a sudden drop off in organic search traffic, this is a strong indication that your organization needs to adapt to changes in Google’s algorithm. Often companies don’t realize there has been an important change until fluctuations in website traffic are revealed in their analytics data.
  • Keep up with respected SEO resources and focus your attention on articles written in the last six months. These means being intentional about carving out time for regular research and self-education.
  • Keep up with this guide! This is a “living document,” and we will update this SEO guide as needed. Pay close attention to the version numbers.
